Album progress update

I can confirm to you that work continues on my album. Where are we in the process exactly? It's hard to say. I can tell you that I'll be spending a few days on lead vocals this Memorial Day weekend, so it's probably safe to say that bodes well for the completion of this thing.

This is a very exciting project. It's the most clearly cohesive set of songs I've ever been involved in. These are songs about the good and bad of nostalgia, growing up and longing for the carefree years and old friends. It doesn't have a name yet, but we're getting there.

Other than that, I'm also working to set up a video session for this summer where we hope to capture some of these album tunes live on video and have that up here on the website and on the YouTubes. That seems to be required these days for artists, so I'll abide.

I'll leave you with a song from an album I've been obsessing over lately. The album is "I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight" by Richard and Linda Thompson and it's one of the best albums I've ever heard. British Folk Rock at its peak and featuring some truly heartbreaking songwriting such as this:
